Technical Sales Engineer Responsibilities include influencing customer’s technical specifications, and developing understanding of customer’s existing systems and operational requirements. Develops technical and system design strategies to differentiate from competition, and develops preliminary system design including conducting site visits to existing and potential sites, verifying GPS coordinates for key points in the proposed system, and conducting signal loss analysis as needed. Responsible for developing propagation maps, writing system descriptions and actively supporting the proposal process. Assists the proposal manager to develop statement of work for third party vendors. Coordinates with product business management for product requests. Presents the EADS technical solution at customer meetings and oral presentations. Supports sales and marketing as needed at regional and national trade shows. Responsible to regularly update the opportunity database and sales information tools.
