The Promise of P25, Down to the Site
The EADS trunking controller is an IP-based stand-alone or integrated site controller. Utilizing the
same hardware platform as EADS’ Universal System Controller, EADS’ software-centric approach
utilizes ruggedized, commercial-off-the-shelf hardware to optimize open standards and improve
system performance while at the same time reducing total system cost.
In simulcast configuration, the site controller acts as a simulcast Trunking controller and provides the
link between the digital simulcast subsystem and the system controller. It dynamically controls the P25
radio repeaters personality for control channel, Simulcast and satellite receivers mode of operations. Some fo the main features of TSC5000i include:
- Integrated site level control and radio resource management
- Provides communications with the System controller for voice & data communications
- Controls multiple sites configuration including simulcast sub-sites
- Provides site supervision and Dynamic re-configuration
- P25 compliant 9600 bps Control Channel
- High availability Carrier-Grade NEBS Level 3 Sun Netra Server
